Welcome (again!)

October 26, 2017 by April Trepagnier Leave a Comment

Hey y’all. This site has gone through innumerable edits, updates, modifications, obsessiveness, abandonment – all of it – since I started it nearly 20 years ago.

I still don’t know what I am doing here.

Attempts to make it “fit for purpose” fail in that the purpose is all over the place because my brain is typically all over the place.

Since I started pursuing academia in 2020, it has only gotten worse – much worse, or better, depending on the day and the perspective.

So, here is where we are now.

  • Some stuff will be cross-pollinated at my other labors of love Bitches & Bourbon and See the Butterfly. I don’t know what that looks like to the search engines, but that’s the way it is going to work.
  • Organization may be a bit erratic. I will do my best to make things easily accessible. If you have any issues, let me know
  • Mostly, this is a space for me, but I hope you will find it useful as well.
  • Some stuff will be “Oops! That page can’t be found.” This is by design. Some of the projects are not for public consumption, but I am still using the platform for my data work. I’d be happy to talk about any of it offline.
  • Some of the stuff is really, really old; therefore it may reflect ideas that I have modified, revamped, or all together thrown out. Again, I am happy to talk about any of it.

xoxo,

About April Trepagnier

Catholic, wife, mother, friend, PhD candidate. I study how stories shape belief, the good, the true, and the beautiful. My academic interests range from the sacred to the subversive, often at once. I teach literature and writing with a core belief that it is not opposable thumbs that make humans special, but our ability to tell, share, and feel stories. I have been accused of having a plate the overflows with wonders; I am totally guilty.
